Celebration Concert

In July I was approached by Suzanne Oldrey of the Blackheath and Bramley Choral Society to livestream their Celebration Concert from the Holy Trinity Church in Guildford.  It was their first performance to a live audience since the start of the pandemic.

I used a two camera setup suppling video into vMix via Birddog Flex NDI encoders.  The stream was sent to YouTube using two Blackmagic Web Presenters to both the primary and secondary servers for redundancy.  I used the in house internet access but also had a Teltonika 4G router as a failover in case there were any issues with the connection.

Performed by around 50 amateur singers comprised of the Blackheath and Bramley Choral Society and the Kingston Orpheus choir.  The choir was accompanied by four professional soloists, Eleanor Gregory (Soprano), Eleanor Inglis (Soprano), Eleanor Minney (Alto) and Stephen Fort (Bass).

The musical accompaniment was supplied by a string quartet, Viviane Plekhotkine (Violin), Mira Marton (Violin), Hattie Quick (Viola), Özgür Deniz Kaya (Cello) and Sebastian Gillot (Organ).

The four pieces performed were Cantique de Jean Racine, Requiem (Gabriel Urbain Fauré), Gloria In Excelsis Deo (Antonio Lucio Vivaldi) and Zadok The Priest (George Frideric Handel).
